Yn darparu cymorth i gleifio a theuluoedd....
The Mid Wales Colo-Rectal Cancer Fund was established on 19th January 2009, as a charity, to help patients and their families who suffer from colo-rectal or bowel cancer in Mid Wales. It has three objectives:
Firstly, all patients who have developed colo-rectal or bowel cancer will be able to apply to the charity for financial assistance for themselves and their families at any time during their illness. Applications can be made in person or in writing and will be considered by the committee. Grants and assistance will be provided according to demonstrated need. All patients who are treated in the Mid Wales area served by Bronglais Hospital will be informed of the Charity and their entitlement to apply for charitable assistance.
Secondly, the committee will consider applications by NHS professionals, patients or concerned members of the public, for the purchase of, or contributions towards the purchase of, any supplementary medical equipment to enhance and improve the treatment of patients with colo-rectal cancer in the Mid Wales area served by Bronglais Hospital. Experts' advice will be co-opted where necessary to confirm the need for the equipment and value for money.
Thirdly, the committee will condsider applications by medical, nursing and allied health professionals for financial contributions (where NHS funding either is not available or is insufficient) to attend recognised educational courses and meetings and to obtain qualifications to enhance and improve the treatment of patients with colo-rectal cancer in the Mid Wales area served by Bronglais Hospital.
